Paraselene Sleeve

Lunar is a Blue/Red playstyle. It is focused around the casting and adding of actions. It's also a Control playstyle, focusing also around making good use of a lot of the actions to affect the enemy and benefit the user. The actions are in the Lunar Archetype, which is currently hidden in-game. When a card says that it gives you a Blue or Red action, it actually gives you an action from the Lunar Archetype.

The Lunar Playstyle can be split into three categories: fighters that add actions to your hand, the actions added by those fighters, and fighters with effects triggered by actions being cast.

The playstyle's unusual name comes from the Paraselene Sage. Some new actions were added (as well as Eye Spy's old art changing) to add a theme of this all-powerful sage. The current Eye Spy art does not have this theme.

The Lunar Playstyle needs to set up the field as aggro decks can easily overrun it.

Pros:

  • The playstyle can cause the longest turns out of nearly every other deck in the game, only surpassed by Orinthian Decks.
  • Can generate seemingly an infinite amount of actions.
  • Variety of different OnAllyCast, OnCast, and OnEnemyCast effects.
  • More effective the more Lunar related fighters there are.
  • A menace mid-late game if allowed to set up combos.
  • Great ramp late game.

Cons:

  • Hard to achieve a win condition.
  • Most Lunar related cards are weak on their own.
  • Needs a lot of Studs to cast a lot of actions.
  • Easily countered by cards that transform fighters or deny casting actions/adding of more actions.
  • Very weak to aggro.
  • Unbalanced amount of support from each color; significantly more Blue Lunar cards than Red.
  • Too many actions can be bad
  • Ramps very slowly early-mid game.
